Hi! I’m Nick,

My name is Nickolas Ashikawa, and I’m a senior attending the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, Shidler College of Business. I am a Freeman scholar recipient and have been given the incredible opportunity to study abroad in South Korea at Yonsei University.

I understand the privilege that I have, given the opportunity to receive a college education and study abroad, is not what everyone has access to. I am excited about my learning experience in South Korea and thankful for being a recipient of the Freeman Scholarship and providing me financial support. I am extremely grateful to my family for providing endless support and reaching my goals, whatever it may be. I am also thankful to my friends for pushing me and making me strive for the highest and not stay in my comfort zone. Being able to attend the Shidler College of Business, I have been allowed to surround myself with like-minded and passionate individuals that push me to do my best.
