My flight was on August 11th, 2021 at 2:00 PM and my arrival was August 12th, 2021 at 7:00 PM. Once I arrived, going through the immigration process was immensely long and tedious. As I mentioned I arrived in Seoul at 7:00 PM but I didn’t get to my quarantine place until 1:00 AM. There were 3 phases to go through to clarify your reason for visiting and your quarantine facility. Thankfully I arrived with a handful of other Shidler students which made the process a lot more bearable and less stressful. I recommend that if you could to also plan your arrival to be with other students as the process can be quite confusing if you are not able to speak the native language. Make sure to have all important documents printed such as COVID test results, quarantine facility reservation, living situation, and other necessary paperwork that may help with clarification. Once we got through immigration it was easy to get a taxi as there was a service available to order one.

For quarantine Yonsei University did provide a partner company to help with the process. However, due to my tardiness of applying, there were no availabilities and I had to go through a different company. I stayed at the Sky Park Hotel, where they provided 3 meals a day, either whatever is provided for that day or you can substitute it with fruit and salad. During this time we also needed to take a COVID test when we arrived and 2-3 days before being released. The hotel provided transportation for free and I did not need to order a taxi.

quarantine food :

I received it at my door every morning (7:00 AM), lunch (11:00 PM), and dinner 6:00 PM.
