During the week of October 13, midterms week is approaching and I needed to start studying. The courses that I am currently taking are finance, international business, management science, and strategic management. The exams that are my most difficult are finance and management science. Exams are quite different from the ones back at home as the weight is quite high in comparison to the division of points between other assignments and quizzes. During midterms week I struggled a lot and ended up dropping my finance course because it was too difficult and thankfully it would not be on my transcript and that I was taking 5 courses so I would still be full-time without it. However, even though midterms week was super difficult it was made up by going to Busan for the weekend - we left on October 22nd. You can take either the train or plane there so we decided to take the plane since it was the cheaper and quicker option. For the first night we went to a street food market which was nice because back in Seoul, due to COVID street food hasn’t really returned yet. For our first day we went to the Gamcheon Village and it was interesting to see the architectural structure of all the buildings. We spent most of the day and then ended up going to another street food market for dinner. We ended up going to the Jagalchi Market which is where you purchase raw seafood and it gets prepared for you to eat. We tried raw shrimp which was a crazy experience because when it was served it was basically still alive and twitching, however, it was not too bad. Again, the night markets there were so good because of the variety especially the hotteok which has become a new obsession. On October 24th, we went to the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple which was beautiful because it was right by the sea. We then had dinner after and chilled at the Haeundae beach and it had a beautiful view of the high rise buildings and bridge at night.
